LP-Plug Mortar 100

Ultra Rapid-Setting Hydraulic Water-Plug Mortar

Initial Set: 60 - 90 Seconds |
Compressive Strength: ≥ 30 MPa (28 Days) |
Standards: EN 1504-3 / ASTM C928

LP-Plug Mortar 100 is a single-component, ultra rapid-setting, cementitious hydraulic compound specially formulated to instantly arrest active water gushes and high-pressure leaks in concrete, masonry, and underground structures. Blended with specialized fast-hydrating cements and expansive additives, it expands slightly during set to form a durable, permanent, high-strength watertight plug within minutes.

LeakProof LP-Plug Mortar 100 fast setting hydraulic leak stopping mortar

Key Performance Features

Ultra Fast Initial Setting

Sets rapidly in 60 to 90 seconds, stopping flowing water instantly under pressure without washing out.

Slight Expansion Mechanism

Controlled positive expansion seals micro-voids during hydration, ensuring a tight mechanical lock against severe hydrostatic pressure.

High Early Structural Strength

Rapid compressive strength gain (≥10MPa within 30 minutes) provides reliable structural resistance for immediate secondary overcoating.

Chlorine-Free & Non-Corrosive

Chloride-free formulation prevents internal corrosion of steel reinforcement inside reinforced concrete structures.

Application & Surface Prep Guide

Chaser Preparation

Cut or chisel out the leak area to a minimum depth and width of 20 mm, creating a "V" or inverted dovetail profile. Clean away all loose debris and dust.

Mix LP-Plug Mortar 100 with clean water (approx. 1 part water to 4 parts powder by volume). Mix quickly by gloved hand for 30–45 seconds until a stiff, putty-like ball is formed.

Shape the mixed mortar into a plug, press it firmly directly into the leaking hole or fissure, and maintain continuous heavy hand pressure for 60–90 seconds until the mortar sets hard.

Trim off excess surface material using a trowel while still malleable. Once cured, overcoat with LP-Coat PU 1000, LP-Inject PU 800, or waterproofing slurry for complete secondary protection.
