Products and Technology Specification
What is the main difference between Polyurethane (PU) and Silicone sealants?
The primary difference lies in their chemical composition and best-use cases. PU sealants feature exceptional mechanical strength, high tear resistance, and are fully paintable, making them ideal for joint sealing in heavy construction and traffic-bearing areas. Silicone sealants, on the other hand, offer superior UV stability and flexibility, making them the preferred choice for glass, glazing, and high-movement joints.
Can your sealants withstand extreme weather and heavy UV exposure?
Yes. Both our PU and Silicone sealants are engineered for extreme weather conditions. Our neutral silicone series provides industry-leading UV and ozone resistance, ensuring it will not crack or degrade under intense tropical sunlight or desert heat. Our specialized polyurethane formulas are optimized to maintain high elasticity and airtight performance across a broad temperature range.
How long does it take for LeakProof sealants to fully cure?
It typically takes 24 to 48 hours for a standard 3mm joint to achieve full cure, depending on the environmental humidity and temperature. Because our sealants are single-component moisture-curing formulas, they will form a tack-free surface skin within 30 to 60 minutes. Higher humidity levels will naturally accelerate the curing process.
Do LeakProof adhesives offer a lifespan of over 10 years?
Yes. When applied correctly on a properly prepared substrate, LeakProof industrial-grade sealants provide a service life of 10 to 15+ years. The sealants are specifically formulated to prevent aging, shrinking, and hardening, ensuring long-term watertight protection for your building structures.
Will the sealants lose their adhesion or bubble if applied in freezing temperatures?
No, provided the surface is completely free of frost and moisture. While our sealants can technically be applied in low temperatures without losing their chemical bonding properties, freezing weather significantly slows down the moisture-curing speed. For the absolute best results, we recommend applying the product when the ambient temperature is above 5℃ to avoid hidden ice layers on the substrate.
Application & Installation Guide
What substrates are compatible with LeakProof sealants?
Our sealants offer high-strength, primerless adhesion to a wide range of common construction substrates. This includes concrete, masonry, aluminum, glass, wood, galvanized metal, and most industrial plastics. For highly porous or unconventional materials, we recommend performing a quick site adhesion test before full application.
Can LeakProof PU sealants be painted over after application?
Yes. Our single-component polyurethane (PU) sealants are fully paintable once they have achieved a complete cure. You can safely apply most water-based and solvent-based architectural paints over them. (Note: If you are using our neutral silicone sealants, they are generally not paintable due to the non-stick nature of silicone surfaces).
Do surfaces need to be completely dry before applying the sealant?
Yes, for the absolute best bonding results. While our advanced polyurethane formulas feature excellent moisture-curing properties and can tolerate slight dampness, standing water, frost, or heavy moisture will create a barrier that ruins adhesion. To prevent bubbling or peeling, ensure all joint surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust or oil prior to application.
What tools are recommended for installing and finishing LeakProof sealants?
You will need a standard manual or pneumatic caulking gun for cartridge or sausage packaging, along with professional joint smoothing spatulas. For a clean, industrial-grade finish, we recommend using high-quality masking tape along the joint edges and a dedicated professional smoothing liquid (or mild soapy water) to tool the sealant surface within 15 minutes of extrusion.
Is a primer required before applying the sealant to concrete or metal?
No, in most standard applications. LeakProof sealants are engineered with advanced adhesion promoters that bond exceptionally well to clean concrete and aluminum without a primer. However, for joints subjected to continuous water immersion or heavy structural movement, applying a dedicated substrate primer is highly recommended to ensure maximum long-term durability.
B2B Ordering & OEM/ODM Services
Do you offer OEM/ODM and private labeling services for overseas distributors?
Yes. We specialize in supporting international brands and trade partners. We provide full OEM/ODM services, including customized cartridge/sausage design, private label printing, and bespoke outer packaging to help you seamlessly build your brand identity in your local market.
What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for custom branded orders?
Our standard MOQ for custom-branded packaging is 3,000 units (cartridges or sausages) per specific model. However, for new startup partners or initial market testing, we can offer flexible lower limits for trial orders upon negotiation.
Are free product samples available for industrial testing before placement of a bulk order?
Yes. We provide free standard product samples to qualified B2B buyers and commercial contractors for lab testing and field evaluation. While the sample products are free, the overseas courier and shipping costs are typically covered by the buyer.
Quality Compliance & Certifications
Do you provide full MSDS and TDS documentation for customs clearance?
Yes. Full batch documentation, including comprehensive Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) compliant with global transport regulations, is provided automatically with every export shipment to ensure smooth customs clearance.
Is every single batch of sealants quality-tested before leaving the factory?
Yes. We implement a strict 100% quality inspection protocol. Every batch undergoes rigorous internal testing for viscosity, extrusion rate, curing time, and tensile strength, with all records fully traceable back to the production run.
Do your waterproofing sealants meet international environmental standards?
Yes. Our formulations are engineered to meet strict international low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and eco-friendly compliance standards, ensuring they are safe for both indoor residential use and large-scale green building projects globally.
Logistics, Lead Time & Support
What is the typical lead time for a standard export container?
Our standard production lead time is 15 to 25 days after order confirmation and packaging artwork approval. The final delivery timeframe will vary depending on your destination port and the chosen shipping schedule.
Can your packaging withstand prolonged sea transit under high temperatures?
Yes. We utilize high-barrier export-grade aluminum cartridges and multi-layer foil sausages packed within heavy-duty, moisture-resistant master cartons. This specialized packaging ensures the sealants remain completely sealed and stable against extreme temperature variations during sea transit.
Do you offer a compensation policy if products arrive damaged or defective?
Yes. We stand firmly behind our product quality. In the highly unlikely event that any products arrive damaged or fail to meet specified parameters due to manufacturing faults, we will provide a full replacement or financial credit upon verification of the batch report and photos.
